"HELPING FAMILIES, HELP FAMILIES" 

This is Ahmed & Miriam Matano with sons, Sidik & Yusufu, who live in Mombasa Kenya. 

I've known Ahmed for 10 months and during that time he managed a business until he was robbed and beaten.  He was not able to work for some time and eventually had to close his business, move his family into a one room place and remove his children from school.  Having no source of income and no food for his family, caused depression and helplessness to overtake him.  Recieving donation for food has not been able to sustain him and his family.  Ahmed wants to work, and needs to provide for his own family.     Our donation can help him do that. Its not charity alone that helps the poor, but its empowerment and development opportunities that can free people, from the cycle of poverty.   

Your giving will be a "Hand Up not a Hand Out" for the Matano Family.

  Your donation can go futher than just one family:

1. Our donation is given as a loan to the Matano family to help them set up a small business.  
2. The loan will be paid back by them, from the profits they make, so the donation can be loaned again-to a new family.
3. Ahmed Matano would like to open a shop, selling cold drinks and ice cream in there hot climate.  He needs a building, large freezer, cooler box & stock.  
4. A local Pastor with business experience will be supervising and supporting Ahmed Matano and other families in the future.
