Even before the pandemic our community was living under the poverty line, today more families in Kibera are losing hope - all schools are closed, the daily jobs are either completely gone or shortened because of the curfew. Assuring the daily meal became even more problematic for the vulnerable families that are living in the slum, and most of the children are forced to go to sleep with an empty stomach. In the circumstances where food has become a luxury, rent issues come up for the Kibera's families challenging another basic aspect of their survival - their shelter. 25$ to 30$ might be the equivalent of a nice dinner for your family while in the slum a family can pay rent for one month with the exact same amount.
Our purpose is to ease their burden. We already started delivering food to the families in need and we wanted to give you a chance to get involved as well. Your contribution, no matter how small, can save lives today.
Let's put a smile on family's face!
