Halfway to Achieve My Dreams

Hello everyone who is reading my story. My name is Sinem. I am 18 years old and currently a student in Kadıköy Anadolu Lisesi. I live in Turkey, İstanbul. I will tell you my story about how I set my dreams and my situation right now.

It all started when I was 11 years old and went to New York with my family. As a 11 year old kid New york was very impressive . It was like a dream city. I was turning around and watching beautiful view , huge illuminated skyscrapers, crowd.That was the time that I pulled myself that I have to came back to America for my university education.

When I turn back to Turkey immediately took some action to achieve my goals. I study very hard. I knew that I have to attend in a good high school. To attend in a good high school you have to enter an exam in nationwide.I studied for it and I got accepted to one of the most prestigious high school in Turkey.I Then I take good scores on act and sats. I endeavor for high gpa. I did everything I can do to achieve my goals. I also did some great extracurricular activities. I worked as an intern. I did community service in a hospital. I also attend ballet school for 13 years. I practiced 4 days every week. Now I graduate from my ballet school with 100 point which is the highest score. I danced as White Swan in Swan Lake ,Gamzatti in La Bayadere , Sugar Plump Fairy in Nutcracker ballet which are dream roles for every ballerinas. It is an amazing feeling to achieve your goals after you work for it very hard.

April first was the big day I was anxiously checking my e mail. When the decision was in I couldn’t belive it was real. It was saying I was accepted to New York University. Since that moment I am in shock. I achieved the half way to my dream by being accepted to Nyu and It is time to the achieve the other half now. I know that my parents are trying to do everything they can do for me but its tuition fee is really very high and they will have struggle to pay that much money. In that point , I am waiting for your helps. There is a saying in Turkish damlaya damlaya göl olur. Which means many a little makes a mickle. So it doesn’t matter how much you donate even the smallest amount is so important and can change my future. Thank you for all your helps.
