Half Cup 半杯
This is a counterwave against unhealthy Boba tea – healthy fruit and flower tea! That tastes fresh and amazing!
After many hours experimenting with a variety of teas, fruits, flowers and herbs, we are proud to say that we have come up with the recipes for a delightful range of flower and fruit teas, such as rosemary pomegranate black tea with grapefruit rind, sparkling jasmine tea with grape vinegar, oolong tea with lemon and mint and many others. We have also started growing a variety of herbs [e.g. rosemary, mint, basil, thyme] and flowers [e.g. lavender, butterfly pea, chrysanthemum] right in our backyard.
Our tea is specially handmade from start to end:
(a) cold brewing a variety of tea leaves to yield a fresh-tasting tea that is sugar free and light on the palate,
(b) mixing with the right proportion of fruit vinegars, fruit juice or honey,
(c) adding a variety of herbs and flowers to add an extra zest of color and taste,
(d) cutting fruit slices and citrus rind to add as garnish,
(e) making ‘bursty pearls’ that contain fruit syrup and can pop in your mouth.
Roadmap and Use of Funds.
As the first step, we have already invested much time and energy and absorbed the initial costs of experimenting with the various teas, vinegars, honey, herbs and flowers, in addition to learning how to make the various snacks.
We are now seeking to raise seed capital to scale up our production in anticipation of our official launch. The proceeds will go to the following:
(1) Buying a cup/teabag sealing machine and packaging materials
(2) Buying a set of kitchen appliances and storage equipment
(3) Buying the first batch of tea leaves, fruits, flower pods in bulk (as mentioned above, the herbs and some flowers will be grown by us)
(4) Advertising and our official website.
Total estimated costs: $3500
After we manage to grow the herbs and flowers to sufficient volume, we plan to sell gift packages of the tea leaves, herbs and flowers that we use to brew our teas, complete with instructions, that can be delivered to our customers anywhere in the world. We will also have a segment of the website dedicated to all our supporters and tea enthusiasts to share their recipes, where each month the most highly rated recipes will have a special feature in our menu.We envision half cup to be a collective enterprise created for and by avid tea lovers, and people who just want to have a f’king good time.
