¿Qué es Proyecto Habesha?

Proyecto Habesha es una iniciativa humanitaria regional neutral, sin ánimo de lucro, apolítica y laica que trabaja por el derecho a la educación universitaria de jóvenes estudiantes sirios. Actualmente tiene presencia en México y en Costa Rica.

¿A quién queremos ayudar?

Ali y Mohammad son estudiantes refugiados que han sido becados por Proyecto Habesha Costa Rica para continuar su sueño de terminar su carrera universitaria y poder convertirse en agentes de cambio. Sueños que residieron en algún momento en Siria, pero debido al conflicto armado, debieron encontrar un nuevo horizonte. Juntos podemos lograr que ese sueño se cumpla en Costa Rica. En Proyecto Habesha luchamos cada día para que la esperanza de Ali y Mohammad de estudiar ingeniería no muera.

Según el Informe sobre las Migraciones en el Mundo 2018, el 51% de los refugiados en el mundo son menores de 18 años de edad y solo el 1 % de ellos tendrá la oportunidad de acceder a educación superior, la misma que se requiere para reconstruir las comunidades afectadas por conflictos armados.

Hoy ellos necesitan de tu apoyo también, y por eso te queremos invitar a que junto con nosotros, te conviertas en un guardián de estos sueños por una educación.

¿Para qué es el dinero recaudado?

El Gobierno de la República de Costa Rica nos solicita acreditar la solvencia económica de ambos. Tanto Ali como Mohammad cuentan ya con una beca universitaria completa, TODOS los fondos recaudados serán destinados EXCLUSIVAMENTE a cubrir los costos migratorios, de transporte y alimentación.

¿Cuánto tiempo queda?

Hoy estamos más cerca que nunca, y necesitamos estos $5500 para poder costear los gastos viaje e impuestos migratorios. Contamos apenas con un mes como ventana de tiempo para cumplir su llegada al país. Sólo con tu apoyo, podemos brindar esta oportunidad a Mohammad y Ali.

What is Habesha Project?

Habesha Project is a humanitarian, non-profit, neutral, apolitical, and laic initiative that works for the right to college education of young Syrian students. Currently present in Mexico and Costa Rica.

Who do we want to help?

Ali and Mohammad are refugee students who have been granted a scholarship by Habesha Project Costa Rica to pursue their dreams of finishing their university studies and becoming agents of change. Dreams that resided at some point in Syria, but due to the armed conflict, they had to find a new horizon in Costa Rica. Together, we can make this dream become true in Costa Rica. At Habesha Project we fight every day so that Ali and Mohammad's hope of studying engineering do not die.

Acording to the World Migration Report 2018, 51% of refugees in the world are underage, and just 1% of them will have the opportunity to access higher education, precisely the education required to rebuild the communities affected the armed conflict.

Today they need your support as well, y and for that, we want to invite you to join us to become a guardian of these dreams for an education.

What are the collected funds for?

The Government of the Republic of Costa Rica is requiring us to prove the financial capacity for both of them. Both Ali and Mohammad have been granted a full college scholarship, ALL the funds collected will be destined EXCLUSIVELY to cover migration paperwork, transportation and food expenses.

How much time is left?

Today we are closer than ever, and we need these $5500 to afford travel and migration taxes expenses. We only have a one-month time window to make their arrival to the country. Only with your support, we can provide this opportunity to Mohammad and Ali.
