in April, I am travelling to Antigua, Guatemala with a group of fellow students from Conestoga College for the Global Service Leadership (GSL) trip. We are volunteering for an eco-agriculture conservation project with either a coffee co-operative or a macadamia nut farming community. We will be assisting with sustainable agriculture practices, general operations of the co-operatives, and community outreach.
In addition to volunteering, this trip is an amazing opportunity to experience Guatemalan culture and gain valuable leadership skills. I’m fundraising to help cover the cost of the trip and would love if you could support me by making a donation. Would you like to make a donation to help me get to Guatemala? Help me, help others!
The cost of the GSL trip is $2,500. This includes the registration fee, program fee, flights, meals, accommodation, transportation, and travel insurance. Not included are vaccination costs and other personal expenses such as work gloves, safety glasses, water purification tablets, luggage, etc.
The GSL trip is organized by Conestoga Students Inc. (CSI) the official student association of Conestoga College. CSI encourages us to fundraise to help offset the cost of the trip and reduce the financial barrier.
Please note that Conestoga Students Inc. is NOT a charity and therefore does not provide tax receipts for donations. If you have any questions please contact Nicole Amorim, Leadership Development Coordinator, at 519-748-5131 x3598 or [email protected].
Thank you for considering my request and I hope I can count on your support as I venture to Guatemala to volunteer.
