Guatemala–Community/Medical Missions

We are raising money for our family to travel for a week in July to provide medical supplies and treatment to those in need and to build special wood cooking stoves for families.

We have a doctor who holds a medical clinic, tending to the infirmed. Hundreds of men, women, and children are cared for. Many of those who are treated only see a doctor a few times in their lifetimes because they do not have the money for treatment or cannot travel to a doctor for help.

Additionally, we will be building special stoves for indoor cooking in the village homes. Since all of the smoke from cooking stays within the homes, many children have been born with abnormalities due to the poor oxygen supply while in utero.  These stoves we build are designed to vent the smoke outside the homes, clearing the air for better breathing and healthier babies.

Any donation is greatly appreciated. The cost is $1200.00 per person for this trip. This includes the cost of travel, lodging, and meals, only. We look forward to hearing from you soon.  All donations must be received by April 5, 2013.
