Well hello there! We are Fiercely Spun and we are taking Grimm: An Untold Tale to Underbelly's Belly Dancer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016 - and we're doing a sponsored Half Marathon to show our ultimate dedication!

WHO ARE WE???

Fiercely Spun weave bold, visually playful theatre with a female focus. This year Gemma and Ellie are over the moon to be collaborating with: Jodie, David, Indigo and Charlotte on Grimm: An Untold Tale; a new play by Jodie Garnish. We're ridiculously excited to be performing at one of the Fringe's four main venues; Underbelly, Belly Dancer.

Of the 214 Grimm fairy tales, over half were sourced by women. This is their story. Weaving tales of silver slippers, devils and wolves, Fiercely Spun's visually playful storytelling and original live music revives these forgotten female voices and the darkly delightful stories they told.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR HELP???
Grimm: An Untold Tale is based on the real lives of three incredibly inspiring women and we are determined to share their story with as many people as possible. In order to do so we need to raise a minimum of £3000 and every little donation will help us get there. And be sure to check out the fairy tale treats we have for your donations!

HALF MARATHON?!?!
Ellie and Gemma will be running 13.1 miles/21.1 km
! To show you all quite how determined we are to get to Edinburgh we're going to run further than we have ever run before. Over the next month we'll be training hard and intensely for this challenge. All donations will give us that extra little bit of motivation when the sweat is dripping and our legs are numb!

ARE WE ANY GOOD????

Fiercely Spun was formed in the Autumn of 2015, and we have had a couple of successes already! In November we were awarded an Entrepreneurial Award from UEA to develop our company and in February 2016 we were shortlisted for the Les Enfants Terribles Award.

Before we formed Fiercely Spun, we collaborated on a couple of other projects (alongside some more fiendishly fantastic friends) under the name of Turn the Key. We took shows to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2014 & 2015.

These are some of the things that people said about Turn the Key:
The Cupboard (2015)
'remarkably original' - ***** - BroadwayBaby.com
'a company to keep your eye on' - Highly recommended - FringeReview

Under the Erl Tree (2014)
'...potential to become one of those Fringe Festival gems' - BroadwayBaby.com
