Greening Sahel in Simiri – Niger

AZA - Arid Zone Afforestation NPO, is a non-profit organization that acts to combat desertification, climate change and over warming of the planet, by perpetual afforestation in arid and deserted areas where rainfall is limited or non-existent using the innovative, environmentally friendly planting technologies, such as the “SAFE TREE” planting system, without any cost for the community, exclusively by the financing of sponsors and donors.

AZA, along with the National Agency of the Great Green Wall of Niger, have agreed and started organizing the implementation of the following afforestation project, in common efforts.
Site: Commune of Simiri – Niger
Area : 2,5 Km2
Trees to plant: 100.000 pieces
The target is to create an agroforestry area, with organic farming, near the village of Simiri.

The campaign concerns the raising of the amount needed to implement the project.
