Our Mission:

Reversing the social and corporate belief that the millions of hand held and laptop devices sold in the US yearly, are disposable technology. Supplying the US populace with a comprehensive device repair option, representing a cost structure reflective of said devices "pennies on the dollar" part production value. Embracing and promoting a REPAIR, REUSE & RECYCLE business mentality.

The Problems:

The last twenty years have been marked by a cheap and available goods consumer purchasing mentality, exacerbated by corporate profit structures that rely on constant model tweaks and improvements. Said "innovations" require the purchase of a new device in order to drive sales. This problem began its evolution into a creeping crises with the development of sophisticated hand held devices requiring Surface Mounted Technology practices to produce. Because of the increasingly small scale and precision production necessities inherent in the process, the SMT assembly line production methodology was born. This removed the human element from production and shifted it to assembly. Initially, corporations like Samsung and Apple had to stand behind the products bearing their label, to satisfy consumer demand. Highly trained repair personnel were maintained for the repair of these "expensive" and highly sophisticated devices.

Surface Mounted Devices have a typical 3-10% failure rate coming off the line and are returned for 2nd or 3rd runs. As each successive generation of iDevice was produced and sold, a huge number required this 2nd or 3rd run. Consequently, by 2014, with nearly a billion iDevices sold world wide (not to mention any other brands) Apple has been left with 30 to 100 million devices just sitting on shelves. These are called "refurbished" by the companies but are disclosed as "new" at each individual outlet. This being said, Apple Inc. no longer requires an expensive and highly trained repair division and largely disbanded it by mid 2010. The corporate mentality is to simply replace the devices with over production left overs, 2nd or 3rd production models, or best yet, a brand new design every year. This continues to drive the consumer toward the belief that replacement is the only option.

The complexity of devices and lack of industry knowledge by third parties has created a vacuum in which the consumer has no other choice than to further accept this to be true.

This lack of any third party understanding of comprehensive repair strategy by device and the lack of legitimate part pricing existing at the consumer level, has forced the populace at large to accept Apple's pricing structure. Other major corporations have now followed suit. Mailing a galaxy s4 with a broken screen to Samsung in Texas, results in a charge of $199.00 and a replacement "refurbished model". Going to the Apple Store in Syracuse, NY with an iPad with no WiFi reception results in a $200 charge and a replacement "refurbished" iPad. This is the case DESPITE the fact that one can acquire WiFi antennas for less than $5 or Samsung glass screens for $10.

The Results:

*Roughly 5 million devices are disposed of each year in the US with an average cost to the consumer of $250. A repair would have cost 1/4.
*Those devices are largely disposed of improperly, most polluting landfills, with only a handful of parts protected by Federal Regulation.
*Literally hundreds of millions of dollars are represented by over stock from over production right now in Apple inventory, alone.
*The street level management of technology is virtually non-existent allowing any company to charge what it likes for SMT devices creating a balloon of technology price inflation. This is harming the individual consumer and long term economic viability of the country, while exponentially increasing corporate profits.

The results are massively inefficient, cost inflated , dangerous environmentally and socially irresponsible.

We seek to end the mass acceptance that technology is disposable by offering an appropriately priced comprehensive NATIONAL repair strategy. We will purchase parts in bulk from the source supply chain and use our Advanced Surface Mounted Technology expertise to offer a service not currently available in the United States. A service dedicated to GREEN……To Reduce, Recycle and Reuse and to do so at prices intended to drive consumer interest toward those goals.
