Green Escape

We all have memories growing up as a kid, picnicking in the gardens & parks with our families and enjoying our time. we aim to provide the striving community (Mahboula, Kuwait) with a green escape.

Our Mission is to provide a safe and clean environment for the kids & families to enjoy.

The Goal is to build a small park & playground.

Our Inspiration came from the children of the community themselves.

last year (Feb 2020) the kids from our neighborhood (aged 5 ~ 16) got together and started cleaning a neglected pedestrian passageway.

They planted some flowers, they even built 2 raised bed with blocks they found and gathered some used tires to use them as pots.

So we would like to peruse their endeavor and provide a real small park for them.

To achieve our goal we have divided our project into 2 phases.

phase 1: Design & Construction of the park.

phase 2: Procurement and Installation of Slides, swings...etc.

During phase 1 we will design the park, clean the area, provide suitable soil, raised beds, plants (flower, shrubs, grass), benches and solar powered lights. our plan is to hire professionals to do some of the works while involving the kids in planting which will have tremendous effects on them (sense of responsibility, team work....etc.).

the estimated Cost for this phase will be about USD 3000.

Funding for phase 2 will start after completion of phase 1.

Why we need this ?

The community is 90% expat with a low income, most of them are living in shared apartments. the locality has no access to any parks or gardens.

It's a dense area, the apartment buildings has no yards, side walks are all occupied by parked cars, some private owned lots are still empty, and few pedestrian passageway available for kids to play in.

we hope with your support we can provide a better environment and bring happiness to the kids and their families.
