Who am I?

My name is Marius, I live in Lithuania. I am very enthusiastic with renewable energy, because I don’t want to use unsustainable energy. I don’t want to continue using electricity or heat that is made by burning coal or gas. The use of fossil fuels is killing our planet together with all of us.

What is the idea?

Together with my friends we created an idea to unite people who want to invest into solar energy, by creating solar community. In this community everyone could plant his own solar panel and use this clean energy for his own needs. The solar community is not for profit.

Why we need the money?

Everyone can buy one or few solar panels, but if you don’t have special infrastructure, where you can plant it than there is no use to have it. We are collecting the fund, which will be invested in the infrastructure for solar community where everyone could join with his own solar panels. People do not invest into sustainable energy, because it is to expensive if you compare it with the price of energy made from fossil fuel.

It is to hard for few individuals to invest into the infrastructure. But if the infrastructure already exist the individual could join the community with only buying the solar panel. And this would be cheaper for him to use sustainable energy.

How big the fund should be and when we need it?

The idea is to create the solar communities where the infrastructure costs about 28.000,00 Eur. In infrastructure this huge we could have at least 1500 solar panels, that means 500 people (or even more) using clean energy.

The works will start at April 2020. If by the day we collect less funding, we will build smaller infrastructure.

What is the meaning of this fund raising?

Me, you all of us, we don’t want to see the consequence of the climate change, but climate change is already here. We need to stop it, we need to act now and by joining or by helping other to invest in to renewable energy we are helping the planet.
