Green Card for Grant!

New Adventures!

We are so excited that Clinton's oldest son Grant has decided to stay in the United States with us and pursue his degree here in Peoria!  Grant is 19 years old and has worked very hard all through highschool in South Africa.  His best subjects in school were math and accounting and his dream has always been to be an accountant.  On November 26, Grant arrived here with his brother Ashley on a three-month visitor's visa.  He already has several leads on schools and scholarships here, and the necessary papers to apply for a green card.  However, we are lacking one thing!  The first form we need to file for him this month, which should extend his visa, form I-130 has a $420 filing fee.  After the form is accepted and an interview is scheduled for him with USCIS, he will need to bring another $1070 with form I-485.  This should be the final fee to get his green card, unless he is required to get a medical exam.  However, because Clinton is also a green card holder and not a US Citizen, Grant will get put on a waiting list for relatives of green card holders.  If this list is too long, we will need to file for Clinton's citizenship, which we can do as of March 15, 2014, with another fee of $680 and Grant will not have to wait.  If we are able, by God's provision, to do all these things, we desire to pay back the money we had to borrow for the boy's plane tickets here, a total of $2,380.  We also believe in tithing on everything we are given!  So we need to raise and extra 10% for the Lord!

At the moment, this all seems impossible and overwhelming!  But our God is the God of the impossible!  We know He has called Grant here at this time for special purposes.  We are trusting he will work out those purposes and provide everything needed for this process.  He has come through for us so many times before!
