Greek Talentz

Hello everyone

My name is Evangelia Trikili and I am the founder of Greek Talentz. Greek Talentz was established in May 2019 as a career consultancy for Greeks, who due to the very difficult financial situation in Greece, wish to live and work abroad and particularly in Switzerland. But Greek Talentz is far more than your typical career services provider: it is a whole support system. It offers a wide range of services from the classical resume/cover letter/LinkedIn creation to advice on living in Switzerland, information about employment law and relocation support. There are so many Greek families who want to pursue a better life abroad but have no idea where to begin. They have never created a resume, have no idea where and how to look for a job and more often than not lack the necessary languages skills to do so. And this is where Greek Talentz can help them and support them all the way. Just the fact that they can get support in their own language, from people who have been through the entire process themselves means the world to them.

A little bit about myself:

I am Greek of course, born in Germany, and have been living in Switzerland for the past seven years. I have over nineteen years of international experience in Human Resources working for global, matrix organizations both in the private sector as well as in international development and UN organizations. I am also a career and leadership coach. Educationally, I have an International Executive MBA, a Master of Science in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Apart from Greek, which is my mother language, I am fluent in German, English, French and Czech. It is this experience and these skills, as well as my in depth knowledge of the Swiss job market and my extensive professional network, that I want to bring into use in order to help my fellow Greeks achieve a better future for themselves and their children. Aside form my professional experience I have been a volunteer since 1999 for NPOs/NGOs such as Doctors without Borders, Doctors of the World, Save the Children International and the Red Cross of Zurich.

Even though I am currently running this from home, the response rate has been so immense that I realized I need to do something more structured and professional. The funds will go towards the business registration of Greek Talentz, its branding, marketing and advertising, leasing of office space, furniture and equipment, but also, along with personal funds, towards supporting Greeks who are already in Switzerland learn the local languages (French/German/Italian), take English lessons, attend skill enhancement courses and workshops and temporary accomodation for newcomers. My intention is also to partner with the local Swiss authorities in order to be able to offer a wider range of services and support.
