I’ve been visiting Greece for quite some time and it was always a magical place for me. Unfortunately, a tourist cannot really realize what the actual state of a country is, just by visiting it. So, my decision was to stay in Greece for three months, in order to get to know its people better.
While riding my bike, I accidentally fell and then a man tried to help me. That was the day I met a sad man. I got to know him and his family better. They are awfully poor. The dad is working for twelve hours a day, but he isn’t getting paid on time – or hardly ever. The bills are piling up and his family needs money immediately. They didn’t ask for money, but the need is obvious.
He has two beautiful and smart daughters, a lovely and friendly wife and even though they lack the presence of money, they make me feel welcome and try to make me feel as comfortable as I can when I visit.
That’s when you step up. They need you to help them. Even a single euro, could help their everyday life. Imagine yourselves in their position, wouldn’t that be frankly devastating? He wants to help his kids, he knows he can’t, I know you can.
Pretend you’re buying someone a coffee, only the coffee you’re buying is probably what will keep that person and his family going.
You have the power to do that. Be a hero for somebody.
Thank you, in advance.
