Our two Great Danes, Calla (Blue Dane) and Daisy (Merle) are the kindest and most lovable girls around. They are our two daughters that walk on 4 legs instead of 2. Our eldest is now 12 and still puts her much younger 5 year old sister in her place when she gets rowdy and generally irritating. She is however getting on in years and is on medication for her aching bones. These pill taste yummy and every morning she takes the pills eagerly while Daisy gets dodgy treats so she does not feel left out.

Last night we came home to find the whole bag of 40 tablets eaten. By whom we are not sure. The only evidence of this theft was the pills plastic bag strewn over the carpet and very satisfied looks on the girls faces.

The end result is both Girls are now in "drug rehab" for a few days to make sure that there is no detrimental health issues such as renal failure as 8 pills would have been a fatal overdose, never mind 40!

We are praying that they will emerge out of drug rehab with a lesson learnt....

We miss you both lots Girls please listen to your veternarian's and behave yourselves while in their care.
