This funding is to help with medical bills that are fast piling up.   When I returned home from the Navy in 2009 is when we first realized that my severe weight loss was due to an condition called Hyperthyroidism or a form of Graves Disease. After trying to take medicine to help control it it was determined in May 2013 to go forward with Radioiodine treatment to try and allevate some of the extra production of the T-3 and T-4 thyroid hormones. After months of testing (and mounting bills) it was noticed that I had relapsed. The thyroid went back into "hyper" drive. Next on the docket is surgery to remove the thyroid. Currently with 4 children and spouse at home and being the primary provider, missing work to have this surgery and the time needed to recover will place my family in a dire situation. Plus, paying for the previous treatment (around $5,000 total for the doctor bills and treatment after insurance ) and this up coming treatment (I am being treated as inpatient could start at a cost of $11,000, of which my insurance will pay 30% leaving me with a bill around $7,700 just to start). Will only make things harder for us. Unfortunately, I dont exactly have lots of extra cash lying around to pay for these bills, and the following specialist vists that follow. Any help and donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for viewing. Rob
