My Grandmother is 88 years old and i am the only one taking care of her. I have a 4 year old child and it is hard for me to care for both, honestly, since my son is hyperactive as well. My grandmother can still eat on her own but often experiences shortness of breath after moving just a little. It's a burden for her (and me) if she has to keep going back and forth the comfort room and wearing adult diapers costs a lot. She has urinary incontinence like most elderly people have so when she laughs, sneezes or cough, she'd wet herself and i have to change her over again.
She'd sleep like this during day and night because laying flat on her back can cause shortness of breath. We have no other mattress aside from the one she is using and using many pillows to elevate her head causes pain and stiffness on her neck and shoulders.
I hope to get her her own oxygen tank and bedside commode, not only for her own good but it will also be a big help for me who's assisting her. My father is the one supplying her other medical needs and i hope to help him by taking care of my Nana. Thank yOu so much.
This is my son with my grandmother.
