Grangetown Netball Club

Professionally run Netball Club ran by professional Coaches for all ages ranging from 5+ to adults wanting to get back into sport. It is a performance club where elite players can be selected to progress to higher levels and also fun based for children to enjoy sport.

They want to use their funding to improve facilities and get new members onboard - Grangetown Netball Club gives netballers from the age of 5 the chance to play competively and also for fun.

The club has 130 members but is always on the look out for ways to attract new players.

Geraldine Williams, Manager and founder said, "In the Middlesbrough area it is difficult to get girls into sport and our aim is to get more girls into sport and playing netball."

Whilst the girls were recently on a long distance game travelling back girls being girls filled the community bus which runs on diesel with petrol!!!!! which has cost them money as well as the loss of the community bus they use to travel to and from games.

They are seeking funding to repair the van and recover the additional losses incurred during this mishap as well as additional equipment for the girls to continue with the effort for sports for girls.
