Campaign Story
Last year my mom and my grandpa (Korean War veteran) passed away, leaving just myself and my sisters as the living heir.
I cared for my grandpa for eight years following a heart attack and quadruple bypass in 2005. He added me to the house with survivorship for caring for him (meds, appointments, hygiene, etc) and made me his executor and Patient Advocate/POA. He was in the hospital for almost two weeks on life support before I signed to have the tubes out and stop the breathing machines. When I made the funeral arrangements, I went by myself. Neither of my sisters offered to help with the arrangements or the expenses. I had to use what little I had in savings and borrow the rest of it. We didn't have to buy a plot as he was buried at a Veteran cemetery , but the casket and funeral still cost almost $7,000.
I make $8.50 an hour and can barely pay our utilities and my son's medicine, let alone anything else. I need help repaying the $6900.00. Please help me. Thank you.
