My Granma, Vissia De Leon, who is a type 2 diabetic, and has heart conditions, recently got admitted to the hospital again, because we found out that her kidneys stopped working. She had to undergo dialysis.
My granma lives in Virac, Catanduanes. We sometimes visit her in Catanduanes, she sometimes visits us in Manila. A month ago, she went here in Manila, not just for visiting but she's also seeking medical help. When she got here she said that she's been having trouble breathing even if she's just walking from room to room. So we got her checked, and the doctor said that she now has water in her lungs that's why she's havibg ttouble breathing. They then removed the water from her lungs, and everything seems fine after that. A few days later, she said her entire body is itching but there were no signs of rash, redness or anything on her skin. She said the itching was like underneath her skin. So we went to the doctor again. At first, we thought that what's causing her itch is one of her medicines. We went back and forth from the doctor for a few days, but the itching never stopped and her breathing is sometimes normal, other times she's having trouble breathing again. The doctors then advised to admit her in the hospital. Only then we knew that her kdineys had stopped working. She needed immediate dialysis so she had dialysis.
The first dialysis went fine. The second, not so much. There was something going on with her. When we were feeding her, she started slapping and cursing at my mom for no reason. Then another day, she said that someone was gonna shoot her and we should also be careful because they might shoot us as well. She's sometimes being hysterical for no aparrent reason. She's also not sleeping much.
She's still in the hospital right now, and we're kinda struggling on paying the hospital bills and her medications. We would greatly appreciate any help that you can give. Thank you and God bless.
