Grandad in need of funding for training

My father has recently been made redundant and has been left with no option but to return to his old career path which is HGV driving. Due to the 5.5 years he has been out of the industry, his CPC qualification has run out and in order to gain employment, he must complete this qualification. He has been guaranteed that there is work available at a local company but they are unable to fund this course.

We have asked family and friends for help but none are able to help us and I have also searched for government funding or assistance and unfortunately, there is nothing available. To some, this may seem like nothing but to us as a family, this is putting an end to a very bad year.

My father is 60 years old and has an 11 year old grandson (My nephew) to look after as he lives with my mother and father full time. Retiring is not an option for him for the foreseeable future.
