grampa’s car

Since I can remember my grandparents never had much money, living from paycheck to paycheck and always griping about bills and never having any money. Gramma would always make a list of things for grampa to pick up at the grocery store, which was a good 45 minute walk, but he would choose the cheapest necessities only! Gramma lived wanting all the time and they both ended up just becoming charity cases, as they lived off hand me downs and relatives constantly bringing bags of old clothes and sometimes new, coming from second hand stores, but when something breaks for an example I remember grampa making a strainer for the spaghetti out of an old ice-cream dish by putting many holes in it. 

I buy lottery tickets as often as I can hoping to win so I can buy my grandparents a new house and car and give them all the things they've every dreamt of having, especially a new heart for grampa, as he just came out of a triple bypass surgery about a month and a half ago and you can just imagine how hard things were on gramma too, but I did everything in my power to help around the house and make sure grampa doesn't go through any more stress. Now, he'll be going in for another surgery to clean the arteries in his neck and I'm a bit worried, as he's 71 years old and gramma 76. I may not have much money to help them out, but they sure have my support. 

 Now, the reason why I'm trying to help them is that grampa found a company that would allow him to make monthly payments on a second hand car, as my grandparents don't have the best of credit, things were always tough for them and they could never buy any car. They took advantage of this company and finally had a pretty nice car, but everything started to fall apart and it's not even paid for so needless to say the car has been sitting in the backyard for almost 5 months and needs $3500 just to fix it and this company still takes the payments out of grampa's account and they can't even use it. My heart breaks for them... they are in their 70's and they pay rent every month on their house they live in. It's a small house and it may not be in great shape, but alot of love runs through it.  I am on here trying to help grampa, as it's the only thing I can do.
