Campaign Story
Missy has been a friend to many over the years. She is hardworking, motivated, and despite being asked for a divorce three weeks ago, she accepted a spot in the Smith College School of Social Work which begins June 1, 2015. This is not an easy time. Missy has been a stay at home parent for the past six years. This is a very rewarding job, but one that does not pay in dollars. She has secured an apartment, a new car, and she is determined to be successful for the sake of herself and her two children. No child support has been ordered at this time, and Missy is doing what she can to stay afloat. She has worked as a photographer, but sold her equipment in order to pay for rent. Those that know her well, know how difficult of a decision this was for her. But Missy doesn't want your pity. She wants to go to graduate school starting June 1, and move on with her life. As she was just recently accepted, student loans are processing, but money for books will be difficult to come by. She has been supportive of those around her for many years, making donations, offering to do fundraisers, and listening when others would not. She needs our help now, and we should not let her down.
