TO LEARN more about organic farming, we are taking children from around of Malaysia, to go on a tour of the Rawang Organic Park & Farm, accompany by volunteers from Grace StoreHouz Foundation & Charity Association.
The final stretch of the journey to the farm is a gentle slope uphill on a dirt and gravel road.
Upon arrival, the children will awe by the amazing view of the sprawling farm full of plants, vegetables and fruits.
These city slickers have scant opportunity to get close to nature, and they will have many questions for the tour guide who warmly greets them before they started their guided tour of the huge farm.
As they tour the farm, they will learn about planting a seedling, germination, how the plant grows and how organic fertilizers are produced.
They will be fascinated to know that earthworms eat cow dung and pass it through their body and in the process convert it to the mineral-rich and eco-friendly natural fertilizer.
Under the careful guidance of their guide, they will be given the experience of planting a padi seedling with their own hands.
