Grace Children’s Orphanage

This gives me an opportunity to give some details about our Grace Children’s Orphanage and widows home. We have at present 100 orphan children and 100 widows and 150 lepers’ sick people. We have 10 staff, 2 Ayahs, 2 cooks, and 2 wardens, 2 washer men and 2 teachers for special tuition. The orphans go to school. We have 6 days per week schooling, only Sunday is weekly holiday.

I am in this children’s welfare service for the past 18 years. It is a joy to work for the children who are orphans, who are out of society without houses without parental identification. The most interesting thing is, I am able to prepare them for the Kingdom of God and leading these children and widows to the feet of our Saviour Jesus Christ. I am so thankful to the Lord for the opportunity he gave me to serve him through serving this orphanage and widows home.

The widows are given special assistance. The same staff will be giving care for the widows. Some of them are old they need constant attention, some of them full sick, medical care is also given regularly.

Our goals: To educate all the children until they could secure an employment, that is why we have appointed 2 teachers to give them tutoring and help them in doing their home work. All the same time give them the Bible studies, through morning and evening devotions, there are a couple of pastors who take regular Bible classes for them. Our aim is to prepare them for the Kingdom of God. Since the children are deprived of many things. We are committed to provide them all amenities such as good nourishing food, good clothing besides school uniforms, provide them with all required books such as Text books, stationary, good medical care, if necessary transportation to school and back orphanage. We also provide tooth paste, soaps, bed sheets and whatever is necessary.

We do not want to simply educate and leave them we extend our care and responsibility till they are employed or find a job for their sustenance, so that in future they will be in a position to sponsor such children.

May I request you to pray for the development of the orphanage we have so many children but we are unable to extend our help because of the limitations sponsors. We are not affiliated with any mission churches, organization and consequently are not funded. We really run our orphanage by faith and faith only and look to Lord for resources, He gives us whenever we need the help through the faithful and trustful persons like you by leading you to help the precious children. Hope and pray God will open up enough room for the waiting orphans and widows.
