I spent the last 4 years since my divorce fighting for custody of my son who I raised for the first two years of his life.
Sadly here in France, Mothers get most of the right and like most fathers I got 2 weekends a month. That does not make things
easy. I spent all my saving fighting to get even those rights wanting to be a father. My son and I have a fusional relationship.
I decided to build my own food truck so that I could be my own boss. I struggled for years to find a job that allowed me to see my
son. I live here in France with no family or friends just to be near my son because his mother is French. I left my life in London
to be a father but although I struggled to get a bank loan and money to create my food truck business. After 5 months I finaly got everything
together and built my food truck with my son. I physically took a delapitated French Icon the Citroen HY truck and created a masterpiece.
It was amazing working with my 5 year old near me. I was able to find more time for him but sadly I had to sell the truck recently
to pay for what here in France we call RSI. It is money the goverment agency takes from you whether or not you make money or not
based on what they think you will make. Sadly I was working 5am-11pm day after day to keep my head afloat.

Even though I was rated number 9 of 57 restaurants in an area known for its Micheline star restaurants and even after months of being closed I
still get at least two demands per week for private events. Sadly I no longer am able to cater to the needs of the people.
I need to raise money to get back my truck which is sentimental to me as it is the first project I have had with my son and
the only way I am able to see him on the few days a month I get. Please help me raise the money to get the deposit to get another
bank loan to restart my business because ever since I sold the truck I have barely been able to see my son Jayden.

Cooking is my passion. I spent 4 years preparing my menu and recipes making sure I only gave the best in a place where
people dont have this type of street food. It was an instant hit. Opening a business is hard as it is but I succeeded and well
some say I failed because I had to close down. It was not because there was no demand. Infact there was so much depand
and it was hard to deal with it alone. Hiring someone in France is very expensive as we are obliged to pay their healthcare insurance
costs and pay and extra 50 percent or more than their salary to the goverment that protects them incase one day they have no job.
I could not find anyone because most people earn the basic salary just by sitting at home. I recently have met someone who
will be helping out but I need to rebuild and get the truck back. Selling the truck was very hard and I really want to get back to
work and rebuild the business. I have learned allot about owning a business here. I have put aside what little I have left after paying taxes to open
the business back. I know you all owe my nothing but as a single father trying hard to be here for his son and be able to
create a bright future and show him that giving up is not an option and that the world has people like you all who are willing
to be there for others. Every little help towards acheiving the goal to re-purchase the truck by Christmas. I promise to continue something I use to do by giving free food to the homeless.
