GoVolunteering in God’s Own Country – Kerala

Last year I tried to reach India by foot. I set up my mind and I made my decision. According to "Google" I needed around 76 days to do so. My starting point was Split (Croatia). I had 0 pennies in my pocket, my tent and a sleeping bag and just a faith in God. I knew it would take me less than 76 days since I was also hitchhiking so I thought ok maybe in one month I can make it...

I ended up in a deportation camp for refugees in Turkey and a mental hospital in a country about which I know very little about and language almost none. I spent three months on heavy medication that they were giving to me. This time I want to do it the other way.

My whole life I've been dreaming of going to volunteer in India but the fee for the usual programs that orginise these kind of things is just too high for me. The amount that I put as a minimum would cover the accommodation there, orientation, meals and my camping equipment and the flight ticket for the first entry into the country, after that I would continue traveling on land by trains and walking. Everything that goes over that I will put for the children in Kerala.
