My name is Tanya Snook and I teach students at Waxahachie Global High School. I am an adjunct professor for the Unversity of Texas at Tyler. My students are part of the only dual credit computer science program partnered with a four year University in the nation and I am the only female dual credit computer science teacher in the nation. At the end of my students' freshmen year of high school, they will have earned 6 college hours from UTT.
I am hoping my students can be a part of the Google Glass Explorers. I teach a dual credit computer science program where I encourage females and minorities to find a love of STEM careers. My students are the youngest students to be enrolled at the University of Texas at Tyler. This is such an exciting opportunity for my students but we have to raise the purchase price for the equipment. This would allow us to spread our message of the importance of computer science to even more students!
