Goodbye for Charlie

Tragedy.  A simple word, but what does it mean?

For the Dukes family it means having to say goodbye to 8 year old Charlie.                                           Such a close and loving family have been torn apart by that 'simple word'.

A parent shouldn't have to plan their child's funeral, but sadly it does happen.  It has happened to Charlie's mum and dad.  On top of that, they should not have the financial burden of this.

All of us who have given messages of support and love will want to help ease this burden for them.        As a result, we have started this page to give everybody who cares, everybody who wants to help, everybody who has been touched by this tragic event, the opportunity to donate generously.               To give this special, very loved boy, the send off he deserves.                                                         Every little we give will help make this happen. 

In addition to this, Charlie leaves behind his twin brother, his older brother and a mother and father, for whom life will never be the same.

At Christmas time people are usually asked to think of those in need and donate.                          Sadly, this Christmas, we do not have to look very far.

We are asking to donate to this cause as friends, family and those who care.                                         To give this loving family a break away over Christmas, from the home they shared.                        Time to heal and remember Charlie.

In this tragic situation we can't take away their pain (as much as we all wish we could), but please donate as much as you can, to show the family they are very much loved and in our thoughts.

A small gesture can mean so much.
