Campaign Story
Hello! We are a group of film students from Nanyang Technological University, School of Arts Design & Media and we are currently trying to raise money to fund our final year thesis film called Gold Paper, 金纸.
FILM SYNOPSIS
Gold Paper follows a middle aged lady, Li Ping as she attends her recently deceased father's funeral. In this grand taoist funeral, Li Ping meets her estranged younger sister the first time in a long while. During the course of this funeral, they quickly realize that there is no supply of the paper car for their deceased father. At this moment, Li Ping volunteers to look for one. She ends up going on a absurd journey of hand making and building one all by herself in 2 nights. The film ends with a traditional taoist funeral ritual where all the close relatives and friends gather together to burn all the paper items for the deceased.
Currently, we need help to fund for our actors fees and equipment rental fees. Any amount from your donation will help us greatly! Thank you so much :)
