Golden Eye Wildlife Foundation

We are a Slovenian Veterinary organization. In our organisation we have three primary bases on which we are working; Clinic for small, wild and exotic animals, a refuge centre for protected wildlife and a foundation.

"GOLDEN EYE" IS THE FOUNDATION FOR REHABILITATION OF PROTECTED WILD ANIMALS AND THEIR RETURN TO NATURE, STUDY OF RARE AND ENDANGERED SPECIES: BIOLOGY, FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY, BIOLOGY, PHYSIOLOGY, PHYSIOLOGY REPRODUCTION OF RARE AND ENDANGERED SPECIES IN CAPTIVITY AND THEIR RETURN TO NATURE AND ALL ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THIS PROGRAM SUCH AS EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR VETERINARY, BIOLOGY STUDENTS AND VETERINARY TECHNICIAN, ZOO TECHNICIANS AND ZOOKEEPERS.

In our Golden Eye institute, we have five employees. 2 veterinarians that are specialized in conservation veterinary medicine, surgery and exotic/wildlife and 2 veterinary assistants and 1 person that is responsible for the transport of animals. all of these people have employment in the clinic and not in the foundation. Work correlated to the foundation is voluntary work. Our people work with all compassion, patience and love for the well-being of animals. Annually we receive on average 753 injured animals that need veterinary help.

DONATIONS WILL BE USED FOR VETERINARY TREATMENT, FOOD SUPPLY FOR ANIMALS AND OTHER EQUIPMENT THAT ARE MEANT FOR ANIMAL WELL-BEING, AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES FOR FUTURE VETERINARIANS, BIOLOGISTS AND VETERINARY TECHNICIANS. Regulation on the Shelter for Wild Animals

The Wildlife Sanctuary Golob, d. o. o., Muta, operates within the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (ARSO). The method of protection of wildlife is regulated by the Decree on the Shelter for Wildlife.
