Hello, my name is Marcia Montealegre and since I was around 10 my heart cried for suffering children in other countries. I promised myself that I would do my best to help them. Now that I have my own child I know what it feels like to be able to provide clean water, food, toys, books, clothes, shoes, medicine, medical attention, and presents at birthdays and Christmas. However, everytime I am able to provide these things to her I know in my heart there are hundreds and thousands of women with children that are sad and depressed and can only cringe because they cannot provide these things to their little ones. I plan to bring joy to these children and mothers so that they can experience the love of God. These are things we take for granted in the United States because we don't realize that in places like Nicaragua the minimum wage is 2.00 a day. Yes a day. and you would be lucky to get 10$ to $15 per day. You say to yourself, well the cost of living must be relative. A gallon of milk is around 4.00. A meal at Mcdonald's is 5.00 and a pound of meat is around 1.50 which is about the same as in the United States. The cost of living is not relative; it is not enough to get by. So, I am asking please anything you can give will help us to bring a smile to these childrens faces. You will bring the love of God to their hearts and change lives.
