Dear people, My name is Axel Luiten and I live in The Hague, Netherlands. I was born in the Philippines and grew up in the Netherlands. The ocean always attracts me, so travel a lot to surf the most beautiful places.

Siargao is an island with a lot of potential. It has a beautiful nature, more and more tourists visit the island and the country is in a positive development. I see myself growing here and working hard to make my dream come true. That is why I want to set up a surf villa sustainable bungalow cottages.

The best thing about the whole idea is that as a Filipino you can take advantage of this opportunity. Because of my nationality, I can officially buy a piece of land here and set up a business.

Siargao is a tropical island in the southeast of the Philippines. The locals are known as one of the friendliest in all of Asia, which is really noticeable. The people are sincere, patient and helpful. This is also called the well-known 'island vibe'. The population lives a quiet, calm and relaxed life. The word simple is often mentioned. To sketch the atmosphere, when you walk on the beach you see fishermen paint their boats in bright colors, a group of children playing, someone offers you a coconut that hung in the tree 10 minutes ago, etc. There is a local language of the island, Tagalog is spoken (the most spoken language of the Philippines) and almost everyone speaks English. The world-famous surfing spot Cloud 9, can be found on the island through which surfers from all over the world visit Siargao. Cloud 9 is in the top 10 World class waves. (Best wave in the world!).

The most amazing thing about this place is by far the ocean around it. Many people still live from it and this makes it exactly such a beautiful place. The island and the sea also offer many opportunities for water sports.

The funding that I need to realize my dream is to buy a piece of land, the 7 sustainable bungalow cottages with a villa house. The amount I need asap so that I can start working on it and work hard for it.

I want to use as much sustainability as possible with this project. I think it is important to think about nature as much as possible and to leave a footprint as small as possible. This includes natural building materials, rainwater collection, any solar panels for electricity, as few palm trees as possible to cut and waste separation.

Everyone is welcome of all ages. Surf travelers, backpackers, families and the elderly who can stay there. The purpose of this place is, I want the guests to feel that they are at home, that when they wake up breakfast and coffee are made ready for them. And that they come home rested after a day of surfing or another activity. Siargao the perfect place to start my dream sustainable bungalow cottages where peace and lots of greenery are central.
