This is for the alterations to the house ,as my wife now is invalided with an incurable thyroid problem ,At the beginning of 2017 she was admited to hodpital with a thyroid problem ,,at the time they did not know what type ,Either hyper or hypo ,the former producing more than the bodies needs of hormones ,and the later producing not enough hormones needs for the body ,After extensive test ,they the specialists found that she i one of the 3 per cent that have this uncontrolaable thyroid condition ,and in its present form they ar unable to give her any medication for a cure ,the only way is to "zapp" the thyroid with nuclear radiation ,,ie a iodene pill ,.So should be easy i thought but in the meantime she hes lost 27 kgs weight ,she is normally a bonny 70 kgs nows she is a bony 44 kgs ,She is bed bound ,can not lift her head orf the pillow and has the local nursing association am and pm to change clean her ,she only has liquids ,ie a beef drink ,as even the pills she takes make her gag ,and vomit ,She is cheerful enough but weak ,her heart and other vitals are strong ,wh have had to change the living room frrom a nice cosy space to a hospital ward room ,With all the hospital stuf for an invalid ,ie mospital wiz bang bed wheel chair portable chair loo a roller walker ,good stuff really practical ,Now you might ask why crowd funding ,Well as she needs a clean enviroment ,she battled off septsis in august as she had no antibodies to fight off this infection so we have aan old leaking wood burner in the living room and an old wood burning stove of the same vintage ,and i took them out to be replaced when i could earn the money also we need a wet room downstairs ,and funds for a hare area in the front of the house ,as with spring rain we hav flooding in the house on a regular basis ,it needs drainage and a hard area for the summer and her wheel chair ,I have specific estimates for all of these projects ,When the hospital Doctor informed me that Ann will go hame to get fir enough to have the thyroid zapped ,she said to me that " she will never be the same again " ,this echoes in me every time i wake up in the morning ..So ther you have it any more details i can give by e mail phone or visit ,as you wish ,The fund is for alterations to the house ,heating cooking showering and sitting in the sun ,Even after she has the thyroid out i will think that she will not be mobile as she was ,she is 82 i am 72 ,We are both retired ,and live or have lived a contented life ,but this has really thrown me off balance thanks CJL
