The nursing home "San Judas Tadeo" has more than 40 years in operation, is located in Jitotol Mz. 15 Lt. 13, Col. Cuchilla de Padierna, Del. Tlalpan, in Mexico City.
Currently the nursing home serves 33 grandmothers and 22 grandparents, all of them in an age range of 70 to 100 years. Of the 55 grandparents that live in the nursing home, less than half have family members are helping, the help they provide is very limited. The nursing home does not have any type of governmental help, so it is supported only by volunteers and the donations that are received. More information on the website: gofundstjude.org
We are a group of friends who call ourselves Fireflies (Luciérnagas), we started this fundraiser campaign to collect money in favor of the "Asilo San Judas de Tadeo" in Mexico City.
The money will be used in the following way:
-Industrial washing machine $5,000
- New mattresses (50 in total with a cost of $150 each) $7,500
TOTAL: $12,500.00
