Go For it Peti!

Hi there!

My name is Tamas Bangha. I am an amateur long distance runner in Budapest, Hungary. This year I am going to run the New York City Marathon on 4th November. This marathon will be a special one for me because i will run to help the recovery of my best friend's nephew.

Peti Varga is 13 years old. He suffered brain injury due to oxygen starvation, when he was 1.5 years old. He lost his sight, hearing and became paralyzed. In the last few years my friend's family have been working hard to help Peti recover. As a result of these efforts, he can now see and hear, and he is in the process of learning to walk again. There exists an expensive stem cell therapy in China. Peti has got the chance to undergo this treatment this coming December. The result of the process could be vital. It could be a big step in his recovery. The cost of the therapy is 16,000$, but unfortunately the foundation organised by my friend (Hajrá Peti Alapítvány) and his family do not have this amount of money.
