IDOLiSH7 is loved around the world, and we want to show that love to the amazing seiyuu and staff that have made this wonderful series what it is! In celebration of the first live (Road to Infinity), we're hoping to send a flower stand to the MetLife Dome located in Saitama, Japan, which will be displayed for everyone to see at the live shows on July 7th and 8th.

Having been to many Japanese concerts, I can promise you that flower stands are extremely beautiful in real life! They're displayed front and center at the venue (either in the hall or immediately outside), so there's virtually no way that the performers and staff won't see them. It's really moving to see all of the flowers and displays lined up in a row, and fans crowd around to take pictures. In addition to showing our support to the seiyuu and staff, we'll also be letting the Japanese fans and everyone in attendance know that IDOLiSH7 is loved around the world! It can be hard to have your voice heard as a foreign fan, but this is a beautiful way to do it!

(Here are some flower stands I've seen at a different event in the past!)

What is a flower stand?

Flower stands are a fundamental part of Japanese concerts, among other events, and are sent by various corporations (producers, affiliated labels, etc.), friends, and fan groups to congratulate the performers and show support.

Because they can be very elaborate and also need to be delicately handled and shipped to the venue by a corporation, flower stands can be very expensive, and usually range from somewhere between 20,000 yen to 100,000 yen at the most elaborate (~$200-$1000). Because we want our flower stand to be nice, a middle ground of about 40,000 yen (~$400) including shipping to the venue will allow us to send a beautiful stand!

The lovely Naachan has been kind enough to do a lot of the legwork with this, like helping me order from the flower store and get the shipping settled! Thanks so much!

The design we're using has changed a lot from the provisional image we had, but even though I can't share a picture, I can tell you that it'll be a rainbow assortment of flowers (red, then orange, yellow, etc.)!

There will be two display signs: one that addresses and congratulates the performers, and another with all of our names. The talented Kagura (@KaguraKurosaki) has offered to draw for the project, which will make the stand even more beautiful!

What happens if the project isn't funded before the deadline? How about if funding goes over?

Well... To put it bluntly, it's happening anyway! Since I thought of this late and we're running low on time, the order has to be made before the deadline, though the names and design can be submitted after the order is made. Likewise, I don't know how much support this will garner, so I've capped the number of rewards since only a certain number of names will fit on the sign. If it turns out that there's more support than anticipated and we quickly reach $400, I'll look into elaborating on the design and adding more flowers or display elements!

***(Edit: We reached our goal pretty quickly, so the stand will be much more elaborate, thanks to the extra funds! Additional funds will cover the the rather steep shipping fee to the venue (since the flower shop is far away from the dome and they have to transport a huge amount of flowers), the display boards (which have to be printed separately, cut out according to our design, and brought to the flower shop), and other fees.)

Also, rest assured that I won't be making any profits from this project, and every dollar donated will go toward the flower stand. The risk of doing this so close to the deadline is that I may have to wind up paying for a large portion of it on my own, but I truly believe it'll be worth it, because seeing flower stands from foreign fans (and support from foreigners at all) usually makes performers really happy. Do note that there are minor processing and fundraising fees for both this website and PayPal (taken from the amount you donate - you won't have any extra fees, since those are on me!), so the price of the rewards reflects that. Of course, you can also donate after the actual rewards have been backed, or send an amount higher or lower than any of the rewards. Anything helps!

Who's running this project? I have a question/wanted to help out in another way/follow you for updates!

I'm Keru, and my twitter is @rokutosei, which you can follow for updates! Of course, I'll also be posting updates here. I've never done this before, but I have a wonderful friend who's sent many flower stands helping me out, so I'm sure the project will go smoothly. Of course, I'll be there on both days of the live show to take pictures of our beautiful flower stand and share them on twitter! For questions or anything else, you can contact me either at the twitter handle I gave or by sending an email to [email protected].

***Take note to include the country you're from along with your name when you donate, or else I won't be able to include that! If you'd like your name to be different from the one you're donating with, either include that in a note or send me a message!

****If you backed one of the options to send a fan letter, please be sure to email me at [email protected] to send me your fan letter (whenever you write it - it doesn't have to be now, but please try to send it before July!).

First of all, thanks for your continued support! As such, I've moved the campaign's final date up, so there are five days remaining! I was thinking of using leftover funds (from future donations, etc.) to buy a nice bouquet or something extra! We'll see, depending on how many people donate from

We're funded!

Update posted by IDOLiSH7 Global at 10:59 pm

Even though we've reached our funding goal, since there's still time remaining before we have to place our order for the flower stand, any donations from here out will be used to make the stand even more elaborate and beautiful, or we could add a second stand - there are. . . . .
