Appeal for Funds

I'm Clifford Akwana from Kenya an environmentalist and eco entrepreneur and the founder of WOPA KENYA a community based organization. The main reason for this fundraising is for construction of a community center in western Kenya Butere sub county. construction of community school, play group up to grade 3,social hall, washrooms, and drilling of ground water well in our acquired piece of land our projects and activities are under the United Nations 17 development goals.

We are calling on corporations, institutions, and companies that have the interest of the less-privileged people at heart to get involved and become partners of this wonderful cause. We are counting on the support of kindhearted individuals like you to make this project a sucses Wopa Kenya is Community based organization in western Kenya established to promote youths and kids who are doing Environment and arts based activity in the rural area and country at large. Most organizations are found in big cities and towns forgetting the youths in rural areas. We as wopa Kenya we hope to bring light at the end of tunnel in rural areas for youths and kids to shine like any other youths in the city. we are going to have monthly cleanup/Tree Planting and open environmental streets entertainment awareness .

ACTIVITIES

-Education, training and research based on arts
-Artistic works: poetry, songs, dance, drama, bead work.
-Campaign on social health and environmental issues through arts.
-Resources mobilization both locally and internationally
-Organize events, festivals, concerts and workshops.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION:

To promote the spirit of unity and coexistence among the different ethnic groups in our community
To promote awareness of drug abuse, HIV/AIDS in our community, country and the world at large.
To achieve universal basic education in line with the Millennium Development Goals.
To promote moral behaviors’ among the youths in our community
To campaign for and promote projects aimed at eradicating poverty, hunger and unemployment
To develop and nurture talents in our youths for self reliance and sustained economic development in our country.
To campaign for peaceful coexistence and national unity through television and radio shows.
To promote use of clean energy and environmental conservation by encouraging tree planting;
Develop an orphanage to take care of HIV/AIDS orphans and street kids involve youths in economic development and productivity;

Empowers young people to express and develop their artistic potential
Educates the community through music, drama and dance
To promote moral behaviors’ among the youths in our community
To campaign for and promote projects aimed at eradicating poverty, hunger and unemployment
To develop and nurture talents in our youths for self reliance and sustained economic development in our country.
To campaign for peaceful coexistence and national unity through television and radio shows.
To promote use of clean energy and environmental conservation

During this crisis of COVID-19, it's more important than ever that we come together as a community to fight for one another. This challenge has proven itself to be something much bigger than us individually. I hope to encourage you all to lend a helping hand to those who need it most.

The Coalition for Kindness is rooted in the belief that there's a light at the end of this tunnel if we put humanity first.

Every dollar donated will provide direct relief to this community based organization . We will be offering community school, library, water, ICT center, youths information and resource center, environmental conservation and education, arts and entertainment/ edu-entertainment and whatever it is .We need to survive this and grow together. we hope we will get help from friends and the well wishers.

We have got ongoing sewing project for making sanitary pads and covid 19 masks .
