Global advocacy: stop the spread of inequality

The global gap between the rich and the poor is getting worse and worse than it has ever been.The World Bank predicts that by 2030, the number of people living in poverty may increase by nearly 500 million, and the poverty level will be higher than before the outbreak. As many as 3.4 billion people will live on less than $5.50 a day.In fact, extreme inequality is not inevitable. The key lies in policy making.Oxfam is calling on governments to do more to tackle inequality, including cancelling debts in developing countries and developing fairer tax policies to create a more human-centered economic model.
