I am Glaiza Macawili Dumlao, 36 years old, living in North, Upi, Maguindanao and currently staying with our employer in Manila, Quezon City because my sister and I are housemaids but my sister is the only one who is working and receiving a salary. On January 1, 2019, I, along with my entire family, was involved in a vehicular accident that resulted in the death of my father and my paralysis resulting in a spinal cord injury (T12 L1 incomplete, paralyzed from the waist down). My dad and I were the most affected by that accident. I used to be able to receive therapy with the help of relatives and donations to acquaintances but now my therapy has stopped because apart from the pandemic, we don't have money to pay for my therapy and medicines because my older sister is the only one who works for the family and also her salary is not enough to pay for my therapy and medications because she is also paying for the education of her two children who are in college. I want to be able to walk again because I want to help my sister in supporting our family and I also don't want to be a burden to them. I want to lift them out of poverty and not bring them down even more. So I am asking for help, even in a small amount is a great blessing for me. Thank you to everyone who helped, helps, and will even help me to walk again. May God continue to bless you.
