Giving Back to Society as a Medical Student

Dear Reader, thank you very much for taking the time to read my campaign.

Recently, I received an offer to study Medicine at Imperial College London. Throughout the past 6 years of High School, I have studied extremely hard to graduate with a GPA of 4.9. Furthermore, I also won international academic awards and will be publishing a paper this year. Beyond academics, I also volunteered at hospitals and helped out for various fundraising charity events.

Having the chance to study Medicine at world-renowned university, I hope to be a medical doctor with the medical ability and knowledge to relieve the pain and discomfort of patients around the world. This will also give me the chance to become a clinician-scientist to be the bridge between science and medicine, speeding up the pace of medical research in the discovery for cure.

However, my chance to give back to society as a medical doctor and a clinician-researcher heavily relies on donors to support my tuition fees to study Medicine at Imperial College London. Coming from a poor family of 5 with my father being the sole breadwinner as Taxi Driver, studying Medicine at Imperial College London seems beyond reach. The tuition fees for Medicine is 41,000pounds which is approximately 70,000sgd.

With your help, I will be able to study Medicine at Imperial College London. As a Medical Doctor after graduating, I will make sure to pay-it-forward by providing free medical services and free teaching classes to the underprivileged children.
