Giving back abroad

Thank you for visiting my page.

Some of you may know, others may not, my current job is coming to an end in September, and I would like to make the most of my break in between jobs, I thought about how much I've loved volunteering in the past and, well, here we are!

I need a bit of help with my volunteering adventure, any donation will be greatly recieved, it'll go towards much needed resources for the children's center I'll be volunteering at, and materials to help build safer hatchery's for the sea turtles. I'm hoping to buy what's needed out there so 1) I can buy what's actually needed 2) I'll be spending money there and helping their economy and 3) so I can travel light.

There's two parts of volunteering that I'm taking part in, first I am going to go help the less fortunate children in Bali. As some of you know, I have been working with children for 12 years now, in a range of settings from nursery and nannying to a charity setting helping children with disabilities, and I am excited to take my experience abroad and give my time back to the children in Bali.

The second part is helping sea turtle conservation in Sri Lanka, as it's been brought to our attention for a few years now our wasteful way of life is destroying our only world. I've done many local river cleans with local teams like plastic free woking and beach cleans with surfers against sewage. I'd now like to help out in another country with beach cleans and hopefully help educate about the impact on our actions out there, which will be an important factor in helping the sea turtles, the second big factor sea turtles face are predators, mainly poachers, so I'll be helping guard off any poachers on day and night patrols. We will also be doing dives to get our plastic and other rubbish off the sea beds.
