Blessed life foundation Uganda is a non government organization that supports single teenage mother's and adolescent girls with vocational training skills.

We have a campaign themed "a pad for every girl campaign"

Why we advocate for periods?

Many young mother's and adolescent girls in Uganda are forced to under go shame during menstruation, isolated from their families.

In many cultures, periods are considered a taboo and because of this many suffer in silence, living with period poverty and menstruation related illines.

And due to covid and increased poverty rates alot of young girls have issues of getting a pad during menstruation

So as Blessed life foundation Uganda we are running a six months campaign to avail every girl in our community pads to be used during menstruation.

The campaign is aimes at

1. To reduce on period poverty which is a global pademic of most of the teenagers, Because most of them embark on using items such as news be papers , socks, towels, old clothes and previously disposable pads to satisfy their monthly needs in order to be able to live and work and attend school.

So it's time for society's out look be adjusted, let's change the conversation and make periods positive.

Let's come together to end period poverty and achieve gender equity.

Be the change in a girls life out there!
