Give the gift that keeps on giving

In early May 2020, our lovely friend, Jornalee Balzomo Panado (or most affectionately referred to as J), experienced a devastating medical emergency. J was diagnosed with suffering from a severe subdural hematoma, that then developed into a stroke. J has undergone several surgeries to stabilise her condition, although, sadly to date, she remains in hospital. We are all hoping and praying that she becomes stable enough to repatriate back to her family in the Philippines as soon as possible.

Until that time though, her beautiful children, Jaero and Jairenne are without their mother. They continue to persevere with their studies, as J would have wanted. J frequently talked about her children, their education, their character and how proud she is of them. The pure joy and pride Jaero and Jairenne brought to her was evident by the beaming smile plastered across her face whenever their names were mentioned.

This situation is already astonishingly stressful, emotionally draining and devastating for the family. Although, despite all of this, we admire Jaeros and Jairennes determination to complete their education, and to continue to make their mother proud. It is because of this that we are asking for your help. We would like to raise enough funds to pay for their College education.

Jaero is currently in Year 1 of a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) at the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University. This is a 4 year degree that will cost PHP240,000.

Jairenne will begin studying a Bachelor of Science in Radiographic Technology at Riverside College next year. This full 4 year degree will cost and PHP260,000.

This comes to a total of PHP500,000.

Any additional funds raised over the above target will go towards the required ongoing nursing care and medical assistance that is now necessary for J.

J is one of the most generous people I have ever had the pleasure of calling a friend. Whether it was her time, money, friendship, home or prayers, she was always willing to extend a hand wherever possible. However small a donation you can make, it will be truly appreciated. This small gesture of kindness will help to ease a little of the stress and burden Jairo and Jairenne are both feeling right now.
