Give peace a chance; let’s rebuild our convent!

The brothers Missionaries of Peace of Christ the King are committed to spread the peace in Rwanda. After the genocide of 1994, there is a constant urge to restore and maintain respectful bonds between its people.

We work in education, psychological and inner healing of victims, care, social assistance to disabled people, as well as in fostering justice and reconciliation among them, spreading the Christian values of peace, tolerance, forgiveness, self-giving and service.

We promote a human complete development, contributing to prevent conflicts, by teaching of peace, sustaining workshops of mediation, stimulating dialogue between communities and their concerns, and helping to reconstruct the social links ruined by violence, setting up a strong community cooperation.

To accomplish this mission, as we live and work in a poor community, we are mostly supported by donations, but right now we need to increase them, because the heaviest need these days is to rebuild our convent in Nyamata, district of Bugesera, Rwanda. Our house is not only damaged and in bad structural conditions, but it also represents a risk for the 6 brothers living there.
