Who we are: The Black Swamp Raptor Rehab is a Non-profit group 501(c)3 Our Mission: Our program has two main goals. EDUCATION and REHABILITATION, Educational programs are provided to the public, youth groups, local organizations and educational institutions. Through these programs raptor awareness is enhanced. Because birds of prey are beneficial to humans and important to the balance of nature, our rehabilitation efforts are equally important. We rely on individuals like you to notify us of hurt birds. All birds that we receive will be taken care of by our trained volunteers and veterinarians. Our staff is volunteers only and gets no financial compensation. What we need and why: Due to new rules and regulations we are required to move our center. The center is the home of our Bald Eagle along with Owls, Hawks, Falcons ect. This requires about 3 acres of land. On this land we need new flight cages, a new clinic / sick room. These flight cages are homes for our resident birds (ones that can’t be released do to the nature and severity of their injury), along with the birds being rehabilitated. Please help us keep a home and a special place to rehabilitate these wonderful creatures.
