I am posting this campaign in behalf of my Father, Francisco Beringuela. Two years ago he was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (Stage 5). Aside from CKD he has been In and Out of hospital for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Had been on maintenance medications to manage his creatinine levels and COPD for 2 years now. He fairly adjusted to Recormon therapy for the past months. However; on April 2, 2018, he was rushed to the ICU for severe COPD attack and was on ventilator since then. Because of complications his creatinine shoot up and the medication was not able to stabilise the same. Due to his complicated medical conditions his attending Doctor decided to have him on emergency peritoneal dialysis at the ICU as the last recourse because his statistics fell down and was on critical condition. He responded well after the dialysis, however; the treatment will be a complicated one and he will be at the ICU until his condition becomes stable. This will stretch over a couple of weeks at the ICU and over months of hospital visits and admissions. What does this mean financially? Stress for me and for the entire family!

As a family we pulled our resources to raise the required funds to pay the mounting hospital bills. But we are overwhelmed of the funds that we need to raise until his recovery. For 6 days at the ICU, we have accumulated 229,000.00 pesos excluding Doctors Professional Fees plus his continued confinement at the ICU. The estimated medical bills for his continuous confinement will come up to around 1,200,000.00 more or less, and we do not have the means to cover his medical bills. I and my siblings are only average blue collar workers. I have depleted my savings due to his maintenance prescriptions, regular laboratories, frequent hospital visits, and hospital confinement the past months. I am the breadwinner of the family and still helping my nieces and nephews on their tuition fees and studies. With that said, I am doing something I don’t normally do. I am asking for help. The burden of paying the mounting hospital bills is on me. I budget everything and I am working very hard to be debt free, however; I didn’t budget for dreaded disease.

Hopefully in the next couple of days he will be stable to move to a normal room. Hence I am appealing to your generosity and kindness in saving my Father and give him the fighting chance for a second life. Please share this with family and friends.

Thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts for your kind generosity and caring heart. May God bless you and your family. I shall update the progress of my father from time to time.
