Hi! This is for Kim Rivadulla, my only brother. He is just 21 years old and just graduated this year. Our family is from Lucena City, Quezon Province Philippines.

Last June 3,2020 was a day that was so shattering for our family because Kim was diagnosed with MIXED TYPE LEUKEMIA T CELL HIGH RISK (ALL AND AML), a very rare type of leukaemia; one of the most aggressive types of leukaemia with a high risk and t cell condition. What made it much worst is that this happened the same time with the Peak of the COVID19 here in the Philippines when hospitals were and still are overwhelmed by Coronavirus cases.

At first, our family can’t accept this unimaginable & terrible situation and condition of my brother Kim. We were asking ourselves and even God, “how and why did Kim get one of the worst illnesses at such young age, and to make condition worst, he got two types of them?” We cried together as a family… almost everyday… and questioning God for my brother’s illness? Why has this happened? It was a nightmare for our family that no other family should experience.

But as few days went by, with God’s grace, relatives’ & friends’ help and prayers, we were able to slowly accept the situation, challenges and difficulties ahead. Kim decided to go for the first set of his chemotherapy (induction) in Batangas City last June 13 (2020) for a straight 6 days. He is a brave one… a fighter.

We can't afford going to a Private hospital but we’re left with only that choice because of this COVID-19 situation. Covid patients are in public hospitals which are already being overwhelmed by the spike of cases, and we can't take the risk for my brother's condition and also our family's health. Our bills are steadily increasing and we have an urgent and dire need to raise fund for the continuation of my brother's treatment.

We are not a rich family. We don't know where we can find funds for this long treatment and we are always worried of my brother’s condition. Please help us to buy more time for my brother's treatment and increase his chance to continue living.
