I am a senior student from one of the semi private schools here in the Philippines. I am witness to how giving to the community helps build and maintain hope to the people in need. My parents Vince and Kristine regularly sets up improvised feeding sessions and would sometimes roam the streets at night to distribute food to the homeless.
Recently, my mother was tricked out of a borrowed money built on trust and is now facing a lawsuit. She is struggling day by day to keep up with payments and at the same time making sure that our family basic needs are still provided. She never though about scrimping for our food or daily expenses in school and this is breaking my heart. Even without the extra funds, she would easily draw out from her pocket just to help anyone in need who crosses her path. This sometimes wants me to rid the streets off my mom (just to lighten things up). They both have regular jobs but the salary is not enough to pay off what needs to be paid. My mother, who always gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, is equally loved by the people surrounding her. I know that this campaign is hard to believe and I am praying for the kind-hearted to help my mom.
I am seeking the attention and assistance of the people who have the heart same as my mother, who would help her get out of this temporary situation that is eating her usual energy and vigor. So that she may continue doing what needs to be done, and get back to being the hope of the people knocking at our doors. The world has Billions of able people and a cent from your pockets will go miles if given to the right person.
